Be Still My Bulusan

Mt. Bulusan. Taken summer of 2002 on our road trip to Bicol, Philippines. Serene, green and idyllic. I could never forget the mountainside trek my friends and I had. It was an easy walk

around the crater lake of the mountain. Cool breeze touching our faces. Enchanted by her tranquil beauty. Stopped by an image of Mama Mary to thank her for this breathtaking place. Lately, Mt. Bulusan has been spewing ashes. There have been strong seismic activities where she lies. Experts say that it will not be long that we will feel her fury. Eruption is inevitable. I know that this is what volcanoes do. They go through certain changes just like everything else. She will never be the same again. But I hope to see her and take my breath away again.
